I am a Prime Member, by accident, and it used to be that I would get everything I ordered within two days, sometime next day! It was awesome, and I would order things from Amazon all the time. Then, it started taking things four, five, and now weeks later (this all started since December 2019 when they ended their contract with FedEx). I finally got an item that I ordered over a month ago, and it was the final straw. I’ve decided to shift all my electronic purchases to Best Buy.
With Best Buy, you can choose to have curb-side pickup (and I’ve done this to test it out) or you can get things shipped to you (usually for free). If you look over their My Best Buy Benefits section, at the free level, you can get free shipping if you spend over $35. I’m an Elite Plus member, meaning that I get free two-day shipping… which is above and beyond whatever Amazon is offering (at the moment).
In addition, I’ve also started buying directly from the manufacturer… the first time that I’ve started dabbing in this. Overall, it’s not bad buying direct. Sure, it can be more expensive or you’ll have to pay for shipping, but if it means I can get things sent to me in a timely manner, then I don’t mind.
