As you know, we had to migrate our blog to a new location, and in that move, we had formatting issues… and recently I discovered nothing prior to the year 2011 made it over. I was told that some older entries weren’t going to export to the new blog, but I thought it would only be one or two entries that would get lost. Unfortunately, nothing early made it.
So, I’m somewhat rebuilding some older files - especially because we have a full original back up in our archive blog.
Anyway, as I was copying and pasting information over from 2010, I ran across a band I hadn’t thought about in nearly ten years: Music Go Music. Wow, I was in love with this ABBA-esque band a decade ago.
So whatever happened to this band ? They used to be a larger band, but downsize now to just Gala Bell, Kamer Maza, and Torg. They’ve also released a sophomore album called Impressions in 2014… the perfect companion piece to their debut Expressions (2009). I did listen to Impressions via Soundcloud … and can tell you that the music and songwriting have not changed - and that’s wonderful to hear.
Unfortunately, it would seem the band broke up, their last activity online was mentioning their record was available in Europe (in 2016).
That’s not the end of it. Doing some deep digging, I was able to piece together’s everybody’s real names.
Singer Gala Bell’s real name is Meredith Metcalf, who is probably married to David Metcalf (aka Kamer Maza). Torg’s the alias of Adam Siegel… and all of them are actually in another (active) band called Bodies of Water. I’ve never heard of this other band, but if they sound anything like Music Go Music, I’ll have to probably check them out another time.
