Faye Webster Setlist

It’s the first night of the tour, and Jenny O came on stage on time and started her set, playing solo. The last time she was at the 7th Street (with Tristen in October 2017), she had a full band and fondly remembered that the whole band accidentally got stoned and lost track of time. Needless to say, they came on stage super late and apologized to anyone who was at the show.
Speaking of apology, in the middle of “Cheer Up Free Your Mind”, Jenny O suddenly remembered that she was supposed to put two people on the guestlist. Right before the next song, “If You're Lonely”, she said, “If you paid to get in, I’m sorry! You can take anything at the merch.”
She closed her 45-min set with “Be Here Now”, ending with the thoughtful lyrics of “I want my time back, I want to spend it with you.”
Folk singer and yo-yo girl Faye Webster was relieved to see so many people out on a Tuesday night at the 7th Street Entry. She didn’t think anyone would show up in her long 15 drive from Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee… but imagine her surprise that the 7th Street Entry was packed full of fans.
While she was trying to explain this after her first song, a fan in the audience yelled, “Bring out the yo-yo!”, which had Webster quickly replied, “It’s too early!”
It’s clear that some of these fans were converted or were also at Webster’s show earlier in March 2019 and were looking for that sweet, sweet yoyo action.
Webster’s passion for yo-yo’s is clear, if you follow her Twitter, she’s constantly showing up some tricks and she’s really good at it too. She even teamed up with SF Yoyos to produce special Faye Webster yo-yos, which you can buy at the merchandise table.
Coming on stage to a war chant of “Tomahawk Chop”, Faye Webster and her full band (featuring a drummer, bassist, and two keyboard players) launched into “She Won’t Go Away”.
You can see from the setlist, the majority of it is taken from Atlanta Millionaires Club (Secretly Canadian).
As promised earlier, near the end of Faye’s set, she demonstrated a Yo-Yo trick for us. I know it sounds silly, but it’s really cool to see… and who knows, she could be the next Smothers Brothers.
Faye Webster’s Atlanta Millionaires Club is out now on Secretly Canadian.
