1958-2019 PHIL GRANDE - R.I.P. 30th April 2019
A few weeks ago the world lost one the greatest unsung guitar heroes of all time - Phil Grande.
He played on two of my solo albums, ”Nights Are So Long” and ”Not Fakin’ It" and did an amazing job!
We co-wrote 4 songs on ”Not Fakin’ It” as well:
”Man With No Eyes”, ”All Night With The Lights On”, ”Shakedown” and ”Thrill Me”. He also joined me on my 1992 Japanese Tour along with Nasty Suicide, Sami Yaffa, and Thommy Price. That was a killer live band!
Phil was an exceptionally talented, wonderful person.
An unbelievable player with so much heart, soul and passion in every note he played. Every one of his solos was inspired. There was absolutely nothing between him and what he played. I've rarely heard a more direct communication of emotion. Stunning musicianship in every way. All that combined with infectious energy and a great sense of humor.
He will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace, my friend. *Michael*❤️
