A recent tsunami suddenly killed three members (and their road manager) of the Indonesian pop/rock group Seventeen while they were performing at Tanjung Lesung resort on 22 December 2018. The moment of the wave hitting the stage was captured by a fan recording.
The only surviving band member, Riefian "Ifan" Fajarsyah, announced that the band is no more.
Drummer Windu Andi Darmawan, bassist Muhammad Awal Purbani, and guitarist Herman Sikumbang, all died at the age of 36h.
Also, girl-drummer/singer Honey Lantree, of The Honeycombs, has passed away at the age of 75 on December 23rd. Lantree was one of the very few girl drummers of her generation. The Honeycombs’ biggest hit song “Have I the Right?” (produced by Joe Meek) was #1 in the UK.
