Adron’s Water Music is an album that begs you to lie back and indulge in free-association. It calls to mind specific emotions, places and memories from carefree and languid times.

Adron is possessed of a voice like fine crystal polished to a shine so brilliant it dazzles your eyes. It rings like fairy bells, lilting and lovely for your listening pleasure. Her music tinkles and ululates, shooting off sparks which fall from heaven to earth.

Let’s follow the invitation put forth in “Your Habitat” and take a little trip back in time, all the way back to the 1970s.

You find yourself in the lounge of a grand hotel. A beautiful mermaid grasps a guitar, plucking silken strings, sonar reverberations filling the cavernous golden space.

Ride the elevator up, up, up to the fabulous party in the penthouse. Adron’s music accompanies you as you ascend. It comes as a pleasant surprise, as no music in any elevator has ever sounded quite like this. This stuff is good; it speaks to you. You realize that this is no ordinary elevator, no ordinary music.

Now let’s travel to a pristine suburban home on a quiet cul-de-sac with a lawn in Technicolor green. Step over the threshold and realize that the magic music from the elevator has followed you here. Watch a woman dance with her dry martini all about the house to “Home In Human Form” without a care in the world as TV dinners bubble in the oven, a marvel of modern convenience.

Dinner is served and we peel back the glistening foil; comfort food. We settle in front of the TV set, our tiny folding tables in front of us as we dig in.

A game show comes on, and Adron is our hostess, introducing us to valuable prizes which she indicates with a deft wave of her hand.

Next a sitcom comes on, and Adron lulls us with a theme song she has written with the express intent of making us feel all warm and fuzzy inside as we, a happy family, sit back and watch another happy family inside a picture tube in our cozy home.

We have heard and are now believers. The soothing beauty of Adron’s music is timeless.

Water Music is set for release on August 17 via Tribo Records. The album release party will be held at Terminal West in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 23rd, 2018.
