Thanks to reader Katarina for mentioning that the entire Red Army Choir (64 members) has died from a plane crash over the Black Sea. The group was traveling on a Russian military plane to perform for troops.

The initial Reuters report lists Russian time zone (so early morning December 26th) and mentioned President Vladimir Putin, speaking in St Petersburg, declared Dec. 26 as national day of mourning.
