with the Shelters
at Varsity Theater

Nashville’s The Wild Feathers will be stopping by the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis next Tuesday, April 12th, in support of their sophomore album Lonely Is a Lifetime (Warner Bros Records).
Special guests The Shelters to open. We previously mentioned that the Shelters opened up for the Struts at the Troubadour (14 Oct 2015) and wrote that Tom Petty was a fan: “The Shelters are an upbeat indie rock band from L.A., and their track ‘The Ghost is Gone’ is a nice psychedelic blend of old school rock and droned out 90’s wave. While listening to them from the balcony I glanced behind me and noticed Tom Petty bobbing his head and clapping his hands while the guitarist did a solo. Legends eyeing potential legends, ya dig?”

Teddy Thompson and Kelly Jones (a girl singer, not to be confused with Kelly Jones from Stereophonics or comic book artist Kelley Jones) recently released their duet collaboration album Little Windows on Cooking Vinyl. The pair will tour in support of the album, which The Associated Press called “Terrific” and Pop Matters said “Teddy Thompson is one of the best living hopes for contemporary music ... Thompson, Jones and their collaborators have given us a round of tunes that aren't already classics but are certainly destined to be.”
The two met a George Jones track at LA's Club Largo in 2011 and developed a bi-coastal musical relationship (she in Los Angeles, he in New York City) that helped spawn the album Little Windows.
Local singer/songwriter Sarah Morris (with band) to open.
