Headliner Bullet For My Valentine is currently on the road in support of their newly released album, Venom (RCA). Even though they just released this heavy hitting album that is gaining a bunch of praise, BFMV still treated the crowd to some of the old music which was more than refreshing to the small group of older people at the show. Majority of the crowd were young kids. The music of bands like the three featured on this tour is heavy. It's metal but it's accessible to younger kids and that's what makes it great. It's not overly explicit and their shows aren't overly aggressive but it's still exciting and not a concert for everyone.
These guys are definitely not a new band on the stage. They have released five studio albums and have been touring constantly for over ten years. There's no easier way to make me feel old than to tell me that your first album (that I worshipped as an angsty teenager) came out over ten years ago.

Denis had the crowd in the palm of his hand and demanded energy. He got exactly what he asked for and the crowd was rowdy and in your face the entire set. Their music, much like the music of BFMV, is heavy but still approachable. These guys also did a great job of playing both old and new music. They are due to release their fourth studio album The Black next month. They did play a couple of new songs and the songs seemed to be sounding more and more like bands such as Bring Me The Horizon. Could this be a move to more radio play for the band?
