The Mynabirds (aka Laura Burhenn) is back on tour, this time supporting their latest album Lovers Know.
Her latest video is for "Wildfire", taken from the new album, and according to Burhenn, "The song "Wildfire" is partly based on that Jack Kerouac quote ("The only people for me are the mad ones..."), and finding your people. So it felt fitting to be in a town that's pretty new to me, but to feel totally at home in the company of these amazing babes. We made this video as an ode to making new friends and helping each other through dark times." (In the case of the video, a girl helped Burhenn conquer her real fear of roller coasters.)
Bad Bad Hats and Good Night Gold Dust to open.

at Canterbury Park

festivalpalomino.com
We covered Trampled By Turtles' first ever Festival Palomino last year. It was such a great learning experience for us, and we had a great time... so much that it made it onto my top ten favorite shows from 2014 (out of about 180 shows).
If you are worried about missing some of the great lineup (including our favorite master hunter Laura Marling and rocker Benjamin Booker), no problem: you can see them all. There are two stages, so when one band is done - just walk (or turn your head) to the other stage. There is no waiting around while the band is setting up!
Schedule:
1:30pm The Lowest Pair
2:45pm Calexico
4:25pm Shakey Graves
6:05pm Father John Misty
8:20pm Trampled by Turtles
Satellites Stage
2:05pm Lydia Loveless
3:35pm Laura Marling
5:15pm Benjamin Booker
7:10pm Dr Dog
