The raging So-Cal band spent their entire 30-min set in near darkness, with singer Sam James Velde often leaning into the audience and sometime spending it on the floor.
As you can see from their setlist, they played almost every song from their latest Poison Everything, including the title track and "The Narcissist". Rounding out the rest of their were three songs from their The Hole EP ("Sick Feeling", "Pay To Live", and set closer "The Hole").
According to White Lung singer Mish Way, they drove a long way to be at the show last Thursday and was really excited to finally be able to play for us. Fans were also really excited... often moshing and slam dancing throughout their 30-min set, which did not include an encore.

Rounding out the rest of their set were a couple of tracks their sophomore 2012 Sorry ("Bag", "Thick Lip", and "Take the Mirror"), and a couple of singles ("Two of You" and "Blow It South"). No songs from their self-titled debut 2010 band.
After over a year as a touring band (with Iceage and Parquet Courts, etc), the band felt they needed to slim down to just a trio ... but for this tour, they've added Deap Vally's Lindsey Troy on bass. Troy definitely added a much-needed bass sound to their hard rock/punk sound.
White Lung's Deep Fantasy is out now on Domino.
