You can tell that Tyler had her father Steven Tyler's genes for music performance... and the fact that she felt completely comfortable performing, as if she had spent her entire life on the stage.
Although this was Kaneholler's "first time in Minneapolis," based on the big audience feedback for the electronic dance and rap-session of "Paper Games", the duo looked pleased enough that they will likely return to the Twin Cities - even though they noted that it was "cold outside..." quickly followed by "...but it's hot in here!"
The Ting Tings came on stage shortly after 10pm, to a massive cheer from their most dedicated fans (yes, these fans would sometime bring signage to the show). If you didn't know, it is basically singer/guitarist (and sometime cowbell) Katie White and drummer/guitarist Jules De Martino. On this tour, they also had additional keyboard/MIDI/DJ support from Boix in the background.

"Hands" got a weird remix live version. It sounded different at first, before medley to the familiar "Clap your hands, if you're working too hard!" catchy lyrics that the Ting Tings are known for. Although, personally I felt they should have ended on a high note, especially with the entire room clapping in sync, the band decided to play out to what they noted as "a broken down version" of "Super Critical".
Some critics have slammed The Ting Tings' third studio album, Super Critical, but from what I have heard some of it, and it sounded just as good as their two previous records, We Started Nothing (2008) and Sounds from Nowheresville (2012). Sure, it isn't as polished and slick as their earlier pop tunes, but I like that DIY and glitch sound.
Super Critical is out now on Finca/[PIAS]. The Ting Tings and Kaneholler are both touring together. They are currently on the East Coast (New York) and will be working their way to south/east coast (Florida).
