All their songs were sung in Russian, with the exception of one lone English song (I think it's called "I Want To"). Most, if not all, of their 40-minute set were songs taken from Lubymaya, out now on Totally Gross National Product.
Since the inception of The Neck is a Bridge to the Body, Kaki King wanted to build a light and music show that she can take with her on the road. With the help of a visual arts company called Glowing Pictures, she was able to do this on the current The Neck is a Bridge to the Body tour.
The light show was beautiful.... and technically speaking, it was impressive to witness. The custom guitar served as a canvas to the moving projection, which meant that the guitar also had to be stationary to show off the projection.
The guitar was so crucial to the show that you realized that the real star of the show was the guitar. It was made abundantly clear when one of the song was basically the guitar talking to the audience: "Hey there. It's me, the guitar. Are you enjoying the show?"
Every song had a special custom unique video to accompany the music. We later found out that there was another woman behind the scene called Becky who was manipulating and performing the video part of the program.
The highlight of the show was during "Trying to Speak", Kip Jones (of Ethel) played violin in the background, dressed in a complete white outfit, similar to what Kaki King was wearing.
