I never bought Borderlands 2, but suspect it is more or less the same game and same graphic style.
For the third game, 2K (2K Australia to be more specific) decided to do a "pre-sequel", which takes place after the first game, but before the second sequel.
While the new Borderlands game was initially fun, I do have some grips about it. Since the game takes place on the moon, you are constantly running out of oxygen. Imagine playing an underwater level... except it is the entire game.
The other problem I have is there are a million guns... but none of them are any good! Maybe it is just my game, but I'm stuck with this gun and I can't seem to find a better one.
My last complaint is that the game is not available on 'next gen' consoles ... so no PS4 or Xbox One version. It is only available on 'last gen' Xbox 360 and PS3. Of course, you can always get it on PC, to play it at the best/highest setting.
Like the previous Borderlands game, it gets a little receptive (go here, kill that quests). I don't know if I'll have the time or energy to actually beat the game, but again, if you like Borderlands style - the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is pretty much what you will expect from the game. The new mechanics in the new game are super jumps (because of the lack of gravity) and constantly lacking oxygen (which makes it less fun). Also, because there's no air, elemental fire guns are not as effective outdoors than indoors.
Music fact: Did you know that Nisha "the Lawbringer" when she uses her special skill, it used to play the theme from "The Good The Bad and the Ugly"? Fearing that 2K might get sued, they developed an original 'western' theme that was inspired by the spaghetti western.
Anyway, I hope if 2K makes Borderlands 3, that they set it on Earth.
