Spinning out of the group Floetry, Marsha Ambrosius is back with her second solo album, Friends & Lovers (RCA Records), a follow up to the 2011 album that garnered the Liverpool UK native two Grammy nominations. There’s enough sexual innuendo on the new album to give it a ‘Parental Advisory’ sticker, though Ambrosius also managed to partner with Target, to offer additional bonus songs on their version. Prince is a fan, so who knows if the Purple One may pop in to check out the performance.

You’ll just have to check out the show in person, to see if the hair is really all that perfect in concert.

Debut full-length Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness (Vanguard Records) was just released last week, and is already making waves with single, "Cecilia and the Satellite", named for his young daughter and is out solo after playing this summer with Matt Nathanson and Gavin DeGraw.
