One of my favorite role playing game, Dragon Age: Origins is available for FREE until October 15, thanks to origin.com. I love Origins, and had issues with its sequel Dragon Age II for its repetitive game play and not enough RPG elements.
Anyway, this is a great move on Electronic Art's part, as it brings awareness for their upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition... and also a fight against PC piracy. The DRM Origin platform seem to be in competition with Steam (who is basically the only "game" in town when it comes to PC game distribution).
Well, I downloaded it - even though I already own the game on physical discs... watch the video.
Additional information from their website:
There's no catch. Grab full games, expansions and more at absolutely no cost. Just make sure to act fast because On the House specials can appear and disappear at any time.
You mean a trial or demo, right?
Nope. You’re getting a full version of the real game — for free!
How long will I own the game?
Once you’ve claimed your game, it’s yours to keep!
Why is Origin doing this?
Our goal is to provide a great gaming experience and a way to discover awesome new games. Having a game in your library, for free, is a fantastic way to see what Origin is all about.

Thanks to Kickstarter, Divinity: Original Sin was released as a stand-alone game by Larian Studios. The game takes place in the Divinity universe, and I have to say not one of my favorite RPG world.
Although I still have some issues with Divinity: Original Sin, for the most part is a pretty good old fashion RPG game. It's also really hard, at times really frustrating.
If you decide to buy the game, I suggest you start with at least one mage who specialized in Fire, Air, and Earth. You'll run into a Water mage, so he'll have that element covered.
Also, for your other character, put some points in identification/lore, as you'll find it incredible useful early in the game.
Anyway... I have plenty of games to choose from while I wait for the next big game, Pillars of Eternity. The developers asked for only 1 million, but they got nearly $4 million on their Kickstarter! Clearly people want this game! Pillars of Eternity won't be coming out until Spring 2015, but if you were an early backer, you got a demo of the game. More details over at eternity.obsidian.net.
