7TH STREET ENTRY
Papercuts w/ Skygreen Leopards
When I think about papercuts, I think about licking envelopes and cutting my tongue. It's painful, and it's not a good thought. Hopefully San Francisco's Papercuts is not as unpleasant.

Opening up will be California psych-pop duo Skygreen Leopards, who is currently on tour with Woods. Skygreen Leopards' latest album Family Crimes came out earlier this summer via Woodsist.
Papercuts tour dates:
09/10 - Pittsburgh, PA - Brillobox
09/12 - Chicago, IL - Schubas
09/14 - Minneapolis, MN - 7th St. Entry
09/14 Minneapolis, MN - 7th St Entry at First Avenue

NETHER BAR
The Bots
We previously mentioned that The Bots were two brothers, Mikaiah Lei (lead vocal, guitar, bass) and Anaiah Lei (drums & percussions, backing vocal), and noted that they were really young (at the time Anaiah was 16).

Opening up the show are The Picturebooks, described as a new band, the blues-rock duo (Fynn & Philipp). Noisey recently debuted the band’s video for "Your Kisses Burn Like Fire" and said it makes you want to buy a motorcycle and disappear into the desert. The Picturebooks will be showcasing some songs from their forthcoming album Imaginary Horse, due out October 7th.

STATE THEATRE
Spoon w/ EMA
I have been looking forward to this Spoon with EMA show for a while now. I normally don't clear out my calendar that far in advance, but when I heard this lineup, I knew I couldn't miss this show.
Spoon was just here in Minneapolis for Rock the Garden, but this time around, they'll be playing tracks from their latest album They Want My Soul (Loma Vista/Republic).
Show up early and catch Erika M Anderson, aka EMA, where she'll be playing some tracks from her latest The Future's Void (Matador Records).
I previously mentioned that EMA became a household name when Rolling Stones called her "Artist to Watch" for her sophomore album Past Life Martyred Saints, so hopefully we can hear some of those tracks as well.
NOTE: Like all State, Orpheum, or Pantages shows, these starts on time, meaning you have to be at the venue at the time listed (which is 7:30pm sharp). Personally, I like to show up at least 20 minutes before the set time.
Tour dates:
09/17/14 Milwaukee, WI Riverside Theatre
09/18/14 Madison, WI Orpheum Theater
09/19/14 Minneapolis, MN The State Theatre
09/20/14 St. Louis, MO The Pageant
09/21/14 Lawrence, KS Liberty Hall
09/23/14 Tulsa, OK Cain's Ballroom

CANTERBURY PARK
Festival Palomino
This may be a running joke at W♥M, but this will be the fourth we've missed Sir Sly. Earlier this year, we tried to catch the Los Angeles-based trio at First Avenue, but due to communication mix-up at the venue door, we could not get in on time to see the band. As usual, we are overbooked for this Saturday, and will be regrettable missing Sir Sly once again...
This Saturday is the big, long drive to Canterbury Park in Shakopee to see Festival Palomino.
If you listen to our podcast, we've actually been talking about this Festival Palomino for quite a while. We mentioned that this is the first of its kind, curated and organized by Duluth band Trampled by Turtles.
