Octavio Genera
|
Genera has a voice that is crisp and clear. He hits all the notes with precision and emotes like James Brown. But unlike the Godfather of Soul, Genera never once feigned exhaustion. He kept the crowd going by wildly hitting the tambourine, engaging them in dialogue, or displaying his amazing vocal range.
The Soft White Sixties really got the crowd going with their 8th and final song, “Oh Well,” by Fleetwood Mac. If you haven’t heard of this song, it’s from the early days of Fleetwood Mac when they were a much more Bluesy band.
The amount of Funk and Soul that Genera infused in the Rock and Blues based “Oh Well” gave birth to a song of its own. I would keep an eye out for their tour dates. This is definitely a band to catch in the coming months.
