The anger is back.
Kaiser Chiefs lead singer Ricky Wilson admitted to The Guardian UK earlier this year that he was “angry at myself for having not pulled my weight, for getting lazy - somewhere along the way we lost that anger”, which also resulted in drummer (and principal songwriter) Nick Hodgson leaving at the end of 2012.
The band though, has re-dedicated itself and the result is fifth album, Education, Education, Education & War (ATO Records) with singles ‘Misery Company’ and ‘Bows & Arrows’, that re-capture the energy and defiance of initial effort, Yours Truly, Angry Mob.
New Zealand ”twisty psychedelic folk” indies now based out of Brooklyn, Streets of Laredo, open the US dates.
