I got the sad news that Kathleen Hanna (and her band The Julie Ruin) have announced that all shows/appearances are cancelled until September 2014. It's not hard for anyone that followed Hanna's career that she's struggling with Lyme Disease. I didn't need the press release to tell me that she's in relapse and is currently undergoing a three-month course of treatment.
While we won't be able to see her in Minneapolis in July, we were lucky enough to have covered her show in Chicago, earlier this year, which Angela described the 'new' Kathleen Hanna as "an older and wiser punk singer."
