- Who's up for a dance?
- A slow dance?
- Some borderline dirty moves that you wouldn't dare do in front of your nanna?
- Some rollicking rock'n'roll dance steps?
If you answered yes to one or more of the above questions then the debut album, Get To You, by Melbourne songwriting duo, The Night Party, is probably for you. Simple and stripped down to just drums and guitar, The Night Party bring you soul-filled rock'n'roll how it's meant to be done.
The Night Party started out two years ago as a songwriting project for Rick Sands (The Palms, Odette, Sand Brothers) and Buck Lexton (Boss Cuts, South of Nowhere, Six Feet). Influenced by a whole range of bands from yesteryear it's really hard to slot these guys into a single obvious genre.
Get To You was released on March 7th (through Rum Jungle Records), so you have no excuse to not hunt it down right now. Also, keep your eye out for details of any upcoming live shows. These guys are sure to put on a live show that's well worth seeing.
