The man helped shaped Britpop in the early 90s, by championing some of my favorite bands like Elastica, Blur, Sleeper, etc., hints at doing another Britpop Anniversary spotlight (previously we saw "Britpop Now" and other celebrations).
Looking back, Steve Lamacq described the height of Britpop was probably in 1994 with Blur's Parklife, so celebrating Britpop in April 2014 (20 years later) made a whole lot of sense to me.
Looking forward, one of Lamacq's band pick is Glass Animals. The band will be heading back to Oxford in the next few weeks and then down under to Australia for some promotional dates.
