The Japanese duo (Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori) basically broke up in 2002 and remained inactive until they reformed in 2011 to do a benefit concert for the for victims of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. They were happy to be a band again and decided to do a brief 2011 "Yeah, Basically Cibo Matto" tour date (skipping Minneapolis in favor of Chicago). With the upcoming release of Hotel Valentine, the duo will be doing a larger spring tour and will likely end up at SXSW this year (their tour dates suspiciously ends right before SXSW). The smart money is that they will be in Austin around March 10-15.

Since Sean Lennon is no longer in the band, I don't expect to see the same sort of audience I remember seeing at their 1999 show. I'm also not expecting them to do many songs from their first two albums (which were all about food), except, safe to say, for the stand-out hits like "Do You Know Your Chicken" and "Sugar Water".
