Japanther is the music and art project of Matt Reilly and Ian Vanek, who have been working together since 2001.
They are known for their unconventional live performances, for example, appearing alongside synchronized swimmers or with giant puppets and marionettes... Look for them at Los Angeles' Lyric Theatre (02/01/14) and San Diego's Soda Bar (02/02/14)
Japanther is back with Eat Like Lisa Act Like Bart, a reference to the Simpsons, which came out earlier this year (May 21st) on Recess Records.
They've recently was featured on The Coup's track "Long Island Iced Tea, Neat," which you can check out the video.

Vowels haters JPNSGRLS (pronounced "Japanese Girls") is a Vancouver quartet (Singer Charlie Kerr, guitarist Oliver Mann, bassist Chris McClelland, and drummer Graham Serl) with a new limited edition vinyl EP called The Sharkweek coming out on Light Organ Records. The 12-inch is an expanded version of their debut EP released earlier this summer, with one addition bonus track called "Mushrooms".

Japanese Gum is a duo (Davide Cedolin and Paolo Tortora) is from Italy, which is not not typically associated electronic psychedelia, but the two have slowly carved a niche for themselves as eclectic and unpredictable musicians. Their new album High Dreams came out this month digitally, but look for the vinyl edition in early January 2014.
