PJs and Pancakes with the Purple One?! That’s what’s on the schedule as Prince once again opens up his Paisley Park Studio to the faithful this weekend for the “The Breakfast Experience Pajama Dance Party”. As a tie-in to his new single, “Breakfast Can Wait”, the Purple Yoda re-visits the pajama party theme (something last done at the Park during 2002’s Celebration week) with doors opening late Friday night (actually early Saturday morning) at 2am.
A ‘$50 donation’ is requested to “party until the sun comes up” (aka May U Live 2 C the Dawn) with all-female band 3rd Eye Girl featured and a DJ spinning all night. If history is any indication, though not guaranteed, expect Prince to at least sit in here and there during the live music, though his mood that night may overtake him to play more than expected. More details hopefully forthcoming (rumors of shuttles again at the Eden Prairie Lifetime Fitness lot) and patrons are asked to “dress to impress”, leaving the usual electronics of all kinds behind, as they won’t be allowed in.
