On tour, North Mississippi Allstars played at Cabooze Bar in Minneapolis, MN Friday night to a full house ready to enjoy their rocking blues. The audience was there to help celebrate North Mississippi Allstars’ current release, World Boogie Is Coming.
The brothers Cody (drums, vocals) and Luther Dickinson (guitar, vocals), were joined by Lightnin' Malcolm (guitar) and for one song, Cameron Kimbrough (drums) after they opened for North Mississippi Allstars with an hour long set.
Uniquely theirs, an eclectic washboard, an electric cigar-box guitar called a “lowebow,†along with a variety of guitars and drums, pushed heavy blues rhythms, earthy guitar riffs and thundering rock beats through the sound system, pleasing the audience who eagerly danced along.
The Mississippi band continues their tour for World Boogie Is Coming, out now on Songs of the South Records.
