Los Angeles' Islands is releasing Ski Mask this September 17th on Manqué Music. In addition to the new record, the band also announced a string of headlining tour dates in North America this fall.
Lead singer Nick Thorburn talks about the new album, admitting that "this record is really about being angry," comparing the feeling of frustrations as being in a band like Islands.
Opening up for Islands, starting October 8th on the Eastern and Canada dates, will be Brazos. Brazos will be playing songs from their new album Saltwater, available now on Dead Oceans.

The Lonely Island is a popular comedic rap trio (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone). You may have laughed your butts off watching them on Saturday Night Live with hits like "Dick in a Box" and "Jizz in My Pants". They were so successful as a musical act with the debut Incredibad in 2009, that all three left SNL to concentrate on the release of Turtleneck & Chain in 2011.
Earl this summer, the trio released The Wack Album, their latest album, featuring hilarious singles like "Semicolon", "Diaper Money" and "YOLO" (just to give you an idea, it received over 42 million views on YouTube in only four months).
Guests on The Wack Album includes Hugh Jackman, Kristen Wiig, Robyn, Too $hort, Pharrell Williams, T-Pain, Billie Joe Armstrong, Solange, Adam Levine, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake, and Lady Gaga.

Sure, we previously mentioned Treasure Island Music Festival before, but that's before we got a finalized lineup.
The San Francisco music festival is taking place this October 19th and 20th, and the big draw this year is Beck - at least for me. I've seen him a long time ago at Coachella, so I can only imagine that the stage and audience will be just as big (prepare to bring binoculars).
