I would have to say that for the Summer of 2008, Empire of the Sun ruled my iPod. In fact, on a road trip to a music festival with a friend, I put on their debut album Walking on a Dream and it made my friend an instant fan.
So, what's happening with Empire of the Sun? Well, the Sydney duo (Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau) is currently on tour in America! That's good news, because I'm very excited to say that I'm seeing them at the State Theatre in Minneapolis. I can't wait to check out their crazy outfits on stage.
Expect the band to play music from their latest album Ice On The Dune (currently their single "Alive" is #1 on the Billboard Club Hit and #1 HypeMachine artist), but, of course, they'll do the hits from their debut album, including "We Are the People".
