Fitz and The Tantrums was described to me as one of the best live shows you can ever hope to see. If you didn't know, this neo-soul Los Angeles band's debut album, Pickin' Up the Pieces, reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers and is known for their live shows. The band's name comes from lead singer Michael Fitzpatrick, otherwise known simply as Fitz, his band is called the Tantrums.
Fitz and the gang is currently on tour in support of More Than Just A Dream, released last month on Elektra Records. Talking about the album, Fitz added this insight, "The only rule in making this record was that there were no rules. Nobody was allowed to say, 'We can't do that.' We didn't limit ourselves."
The band is so hot that they continuously sell out their shows. In fact, they were forced to add additional shows due to demand. Fitz and the Tantrums sold out the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis both nights, so snooze and you lose.
