The last time I saw Rachael Yamagata, she had taken a long four year break from touring and she said on stage that this was the thing she love doing: meeting her fans in various cities. This is evident by the news of her selling out all her shows in Asia (Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore).
I missed her last November (because I don't go out to shows in the winter), but we did have someone cover the show for us.
John described last year's show was on the more intimate side: "This tour was billed as more intimate, and with a smaller capacity, sparse lighting, and a completely seated crowd, gave a more personal invitation into her world that demanded your attention."
Yamagata's Heavyweight EP is out now, but look for her 'covers' EP to be recorded and release soon. In the meantime, as she promised, she will be back on the road in North America for her "Dealbreaker Heart" Spring and Summer tour.
