Legendary rock band Metallica is teaming up with Vans to produce four unique shoes, designed by each band members. The shoes hits store this month (February). You can buy direct at vans.com.
Looking over the shoes, you can tell that black is the color of choice.
That's not all, folks. Check it out, next month, in March, Metallica and Vans will introduce their "Kill 'Em All" theme shoes. The shoes will celebrate Metallica's 30th anniversary of their debut album.
So, Metallica fans… er, get 'em all.

James Hetfield Inspired by his favorite black boots, James added hex-bolt eyelets and a personal take on the skull and cross-bones, illustrated by Hetfield himself, to "Metallicize" this Vans Sk8-Hi Deconstruct. |
Robert Trujillo Robert grew up wearing Vans as a young skater in Venice Beach, California. For his shoe, he took Aztec calendar artwork, designed by his wife Chloe, which is carved in one of his bass guitars and placed it in blue, on the side of this Escuela. |

Lars Ulrich Putting a twist on one of Vans' original Classics, Lars updated the Era Laceless with brushed twill materials and a print taken from the diamond plate pattern on his snare drum. He finished his shoe with a Dirty Donny character on the inside heel. | Kirk Hammett Tying back to a love of surfing and nature, Kirk chose an all-natural upper made of hemp for his collapsible Slip-On. Cesária Évora, nicknamed "Barefoot Diva" for performing without shoes, passed away in 2011, but she left a treasure trove of unreleased songs - which will be compiled on an upcoming album called Mãe Carinhosa ("Mother Affection") by producer and longtime champion Jose da Silva.
At the time of her death, da Silva recalled how he would continue to honor Evora's music:

Selena Gomez has been designing her own shoes with the label "Neo" under Adidas. She recently (February 6th) unveiled her shoe line for the 2013 Fashion Week in New York City.
I did take a look at adidas.com and as I suspected: not a whole lot of menswear.
I was drawn to the brighter-color shoes, like the BBNEO Raleigh, but I can't ever see myself wearing these. They're meant for young people, and that's a barrier to entry.
