Anyway, Let It Be Records used to have free in-store promo shows. I didn't often attend many of these, because they were usually around 3pm or 4pm and that's not a great time (especially if you had a day job.)

I saw them twice that year, one has a headliner at 7th Street on April 1st, and again when they were supporting Placebo at First Avenue on May 2nd, 2001.
Prior to their show at First Avenue, Idlewild did a brief set at Let It Be Records. As you can see from the picture, it was pretty stripped down (mostly acoustic only). There were enough people there that I had to watch the show from the side (unlike the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in-store, where I was free to roam about). That girl in the front, I would name her 'Emma' and her sister (which I would later find out later that it was actually not her name, but I continued to refer to her as Emma).
I'm pretty sure I went to see Idlewild again for their The Remote Part tour, because I have all these stickers and flyers… but I can't find my tickets (what probably was the case is that I just paid at the door of entry and they don't give you a physical ticket, but rather a stamp on the hand).

He also mentioned that his new, new third solo album is called Listen to Keep will be released as a special edition via Reveal Records: "It’s a cool package – three postcards and a poster, the album in a cardboard wallet, all held together with red twine. It’s a totally different package to the one that will be in the shops in March [2013] – same songs though. I can sign it if requested also. We will sell it for £11 + postage…"
I am assuming the offer is good for U.S. fans, but the postage might be a lot more. The special handmade record will be limited to 1,000 copies.
