THE FRESH & ONLYS: LONG SLOW DANCE
I've previously mentioned this before, but I think of fresh onions when I think of The Fresh & Onlys.
Remember how I said the F&O were finishing up their new LP earlier this year? It finally came out earlier this September on Mexican Summer and it is called Long Slow Dance. Although the band wrapped up their September gigs, it would seem that they are returning back on the road in November for part two of their support for Long Slow Dance. See tour information below. The new album is said to be a "weird folk" rock album, but as Pitchfork puts it, "a record for blissfully happy nights." Of course, Pitchfork also the one that is classifying Fresh & Onlys as part of the "new garage rock" movement, along with Sic Alps, Ty Segall, and Kelley Stoltz. The key thing that all these bands have in common is that they're based out of the San Francisco area… must be something in the water. Check out the music video for "Presence of Mind," an odd group of passengers on a bus (are they dead?): The Fresh & Onlys' current tour dates below:
