LITTLE & ASHLEY
Also, continuing on with the free holiday music, we have Little & Ashley's Holiday Winter Night EP (released on November 15th).
For a limited time, you can grab their title track, "Winter Night" for free, via Amazon's "25 Days of Free" Promotion. If you've never bought MP3s from Amazon, you sort of need to install Amazon MP3 Downloader, which will make things easier for you (it automatically adds to your iTunes).
Anyway, apparently these two, Annie Little and Marcus Ashley are both actors/actresses, appearing in television shows such as Mad Men and Bones. I did have a looksee at www.annielittle.com and it seems that these guys won an Amazon contest last year in July and already are on their way with an album Stole My Heart. Their music are used on Amazon Kindle and Banana Republic commercials. Way to go!
GLEE: THE MUSIC, THE CHRISTMAS ALBUM
There's just simply no stopping Glee. It seems like it's a show made for me, but I can't really get into it. With every episode, the cast releases a set of songs from each show. Well, with December 7th special Glee Christmas show, the cast are singing a bunch of traditional Christmas songs.
Can't wait? The album, Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album came out prior to Black Friday, on November 16th, so if you're a fan, you should probably run out and get it.
And not to downplay Beatles on iTunes, but apparently Glee "surpassed The Beatles 52 year record for the most Billboard Hot 100 chart appearances of a non-solo act in one year." That's right, Glee are hitting the charts at #1 consistently, and that's pretty amazing.
I will try and squeeze in this xmas album for my Christmas music review, but I already have a lot on my plate. Besides, I don't think Glee needs extra publicity, they're on top of the world.
