Time Again is a punk band from Los Angeles, California, and they have a sophomore album called Darker Days coming out on February 19th on Hellcat Records.
This music reminds me of the third wave of punk, the wave that came after grunge, in the late 1990's. When punk wasn’t as watered down as it is today. This is what got me into punk rock. None of this angst-ridden whiny sceamo shit bands with long names that are metaphoric.... This is just good punk music. 3 power cords, heavy bass beat, fast drums and a gruffled lead singer with an attitude that says I don’t care that I sing off key.
Time again - will in essence bring you to a time again when music wasn’t overly produced and to a time that music was just good upbeat music with social relevance. Time again indeed.
Darker Days is what is ahead if punk doesn’t go back to these roots.
As you can tell I love this band. Can’t wait until they drop another album.... This is what punk rock needs. A look back at sounds we have all forgotten.
Kinda like an early Rancid CD, not the newer stuff. It doesn’t have the weight of Tim Armstrong and Lars, but being signed by Hellcat, you know they approve.
My favorite songs are "Soon it Will Be" track 2, and "Montreal Street Kids" track 7, and "Outcast" last track. The whole CD brings me back when Rancid and Green Day was at the top of their game.
