The Grizzly Owls are an unsigned husband and wife duo, Jenny and Joseph Andreotti, from Bakersfield, CA (so it's natural that they're influenced by Buck Owens and Merle Haggard). Other influences include "writers Raymond Carver and Henry David Thoreau, spaghetti westerns of the 1960s, and French new-wave films of Jean-Luc Godard". They've been making music together for seven years and last year self-released their debut "By Night On My Bed". The album is a little under thirty minutes long, but feels just right considering the tempo of most of the songs. There's a little bit of country, alt-country, electro, and folk on this album. If that sounds like something you'd like, I'd recommend it.
