I didn't know much about Powder, other than the fact that Pearl Lowe was going out with Danny Goffey of Supergrass. I picked up a few singles just to see what they sounded like, and it turned out it wasn't half bad.
So, after looking at Lowe's wiki entry, I didn't realize that she was quite the star-f-er: affairs with Gavin Rossdale (Bush) and Jude Law. She even has a child with Gavin!
Anyway, Powder broke up shortly after releasing their third and final single, Deep-Fried, and Pearl continued on with another band, Lodger.
By the way, their releases here in the US are hard to find, so I was really surprise that I eventually found MCMXCV (Roman numeral for 1995), in some clearance bin years and years later.
PS, apparently there is also another band called Powder, based out of Los Angeles and describes themselves as "Turbo Pop". They certainly look interesting... I may do a band profile on them later.
