Speaking of video games, Christopher, here's a Guitar Hero band called Freezepop. Although this band is primarily a synthpop band, they had to re-do their song "Get Ready 2 Rokk" to a more guitar-based sound for the Guitar Hero game (the version on their album is more keyboard based).
I found out that they all sort of songs on different video games, such as FreQuency, Amplitude, Karaoke Revolution, Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Downhill Domination, and Dance Dance Revolution, primarily because Kasson Crooker (who's in Freezepop) is the audio director of Harmonix (which provide all the soundtrack for these video games).
Anyway, Freezepop formed in Boston, Massachusetts, and released three albums Freezepop Forever (2000), Hi-Five My Remix (2003), and Fancy Ultra•Fresh (2004). They have a new album coming out. They seem really excited about their new album because they're in college now and this time their music will be influenced by "booze and girls and no parents".
Most of Freezepop's music can be downloaded on their website. "Here Comes a Special Boy" seems to be fairly early era, because the "Philippe" in this song refers to a 2001 comic strip by Chris Onstad.
