Yes, he is a member of the Strokes, but he's my favorite stroke. I don't know how well everyone likes the Strokes these days, but a while back, they were the bees knees. Upon first listen, I loved them too, then I found that they were rich boys n'such n'such. I dunno, I'm poor and rich people make me uneasy. Lol. Alright, enough of the jibba jabba. So heres a little bit about the man I like to think is behind it all (the strokes that is).
Apprently he's wanted to make this album for quite a long time now. It's stuffed full of guest musicians too, such as : fellow bandmate Julian Casablancas, Sean Lennon, Ben Kweller, Jody Porter (of founntains of wayne fame), Sammy James Jr.(mooney suzuki) just to name a few.
I didn't even know he had an album out until I saw him
perform on the late night shows (which, I cannot remember) The first song I heard was "Everyone Get's a Star". I forgot to have it uploaded, but the followup single was "Back to the 101". Which is a lovely little ditty.
When I heard the album the first thing I thought was "I knew it! He's the brains." Heh, I guess he's the biggest influence on The Strokes. Well, I'd type up some more, but I'm a lazy little thing. So here are some links if you wanna know more about Mr. Albert Hammond jr.
Adios!
