I want to be able to say a lot more about this group but I just don't know enough about them. Back in 2005, I discovered them completely by mistake while I was searching for bands containing members from The Brakes (British Sea Power, The Electric Soft Parade and The Tenderfoot). Due to poor tagging over at the iTunes store, my search results pulled up a group I believed to be The Tenderfoot.
Six months later, I ordered two The Tenderfoot albums from Amazon and discovered the mistake. The band I believed to be The Tenderfoot was, in fact, from Iceland and called Without Gravity. By chance, their debut album is called Tenderfoot.
Released on Björk's record label, One Little Indian, it is a beautiful trip into the human soul.
Their self-titled track "Without Gravity" reminds me of a train journey, Christmas 2005 when I was staring into a pair of beautiful ocean blue eyes and that's the sort of music they play. It invokes memories, and although I cannot guarantee it, gives you a warm glow inside.
In my opinion though, their greatest song is the Morning Song from their iTunes Live Session. It is possibly the only song that makes me want to smoke and drink black coffee.
As far as I can tell, they have only released one single, Beautiful Son. I have no information about upcoming tours or any plans to release a follow-up album in the near future.
