Once every couple of weeks, I'm just going to write about a song I find on weheartmusic (that have not been written about). Whoever uploaded this song and had meant to return to write about it - you are too late!
So, Dirty on Purpose formed in 2002 in Brooklyn, New York. Their normal website (which I often prefer over the fugliness of myspace) is pretty, but I could not get some vital links to load. I've tried clicking on the photos, nada. Tried to download their press kit, nothing either (usually the press kit contain a biography of the band). Maybe it just doesn't work with Firefox because I block all popups :/
So this is the short biography of their 'space:
Dirty on Purpose are a dreamy four-piece living in Brooklyn, NY, but born and raised in small towns in Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire and Virginia. Teetering between gentle and quiet and loud and aggressive, the band's beautifully layered music wraps around you like a warm and fuzzy blanket. Dirty on Purpose are Doug Marvin, George Wilson, Joe Jurewicz and DJ Boudreau.
DISCOGRAPHY
- Demos (2003, not officially released)
- Sleep Late For a Better Tomorrow EP (2004, re-released 2005)
- Hallelujah Sirens (2006)
So, to sum it up in six words: Dirty on Purpose sounds like girls.
Bonus: In addition to downloading off their myspace, you can also download a couple of more tracks and videos from northstreetrecords.net
