[this is good] I love it how in the movie, you almost feel as if you are sinking into something beautiful yet deep yourself as the song is played.I love the original trainspotting soundtrack but had no idea there was a second - i wonder what's on it! i must check it out now.

[this is good] great movie...and soundtrack. Thanks for reminding me of it.... ~Jenn

[this is good] Thanks for reminding about the movie and the song ... love your blog!

[this is good] Have to forward your post to my sister. I'm not sure she knows all these random facts.

the princess and the warrior is also one of my favorites. =] and yes, i concur: the soundtracks (yes, both of them) are killer.

Some random fact #1: Kirsty MacColl re-recorded this song, but she turned it into a duet.Kristy MacColl's version is great too. And her duet mate is the singular (and recovered as of now) Evan Dando... That scene in the movie is chilling. Such a beautiful song paired with the near OD. It's ironic and moving. Especially, when you see the bartender fidgeting with worry as he waits for the cab (not an ambulance, mind you) to pick up Ewan... Hm, I have to go watch this again...
