Did you know that it's the fifteenth anniversary of Kid Rock's Devil Without a Cause? Expect a deluxe re-issue of the album to come out this year (2013).
Also, did you know that Bob Seger and Kid Rock are really, really good friends? Since both musicians were already preparing for a Spring tour - they've decided to do a double headlining tour when they intersect/meet up in the middle of the country. For the first time ever: Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band and Kid Rock & The Twisted Brown Trucker Band will play together on two special dates.
Mar 16 Fargo, ND Fargo Dome
Tickets for both shows goes on sale next week, January 26th at 10am. Fans will have early access to tickets on each artist's website.
THE CARNIVAL KIDS
Absolutely no information given on this band: The Carnival Kids. A quick search returns a UK band, so I have no idea if it's the right band or not. They lists the band is from New York and indie pop.
Debut album due out this year, but no details on title or release date available as of this writing.
Hear "Bitter Holding" online:
Brooklyn's Young Boys debut album, New York Sun, is coming out February 26th via Holloweyed Records. At the moment, you can hear (and download) their single, "Love Hits", on Soundcloud.
These guys are probably more hipster than your average Brooklyn band: if you get their album on cassette, there is a bonus side of simply live recordings.
Michelle Williams, of Destiny's Child fame, will join the national tour of the Broadway musical Fela!
"I am thrilled to join the cast of Fela!," said Michelle Williams, "This musical journey is one that I've wanted to be a part of since first seeing it on stage in 2008. The sounds, the passion, and the politics of Fela Kuti have long intrigued me and speak to my heart. I am simply honored."
