Are you seeing red, after Netflix hiked their prices? Or how about when they split up their service and called their DVD service Qwikster? Count me in as one of those one million customers that left Netflix last month. I've been using free services like Crackle and Hulu.
Anyway, below are some red bands:
THE PARSON RED HEADS
theparsonredheads.com
So I missed The Parson Red Heads when they came through Minneapolis on the 16th at the University of Minnesota. I meant to go, but I just fell asleep (sorry, it's been a really long weeks for me). I guess I missed out on some Red-Head action and sweet, sweet harmonies.
You can grab "Burning up the Sky" at their website.
In the meantime, try and not sleep through their tour:
LITTLE RED
www.littleredmusic.com
According to their biography, they have returned with their "difficult" second album, Midnight Remember. Ah, yes, the sophomore slump.
As it turns out, this Melbourne band is going to be touring the USA, come this October and November. Details below:
RED EYE FUGU
redeyefugu.tumblr.com
If Red Eye Fugu looks familiar, that's because he was previously known as Poster Child.
Red Eye Fugu (real name Enzo Tiano) just released his LP, Watchers last week (September 10th), an album that's labeled as an "eclectic collection of ambient electronic-pop songs".
It should be interesting to see how Tiano will be playing his album live, considering that he'll do it all himself: singing, synth, guitars, piano, bass, etc., but unfortunately, he's the only one on this list that isn't on tour.
RED FANG
www.redfang.net
I wonder if they're related to White Fang?
This American metal band from Portland just announced that they're heading out on tour with Mastodon and Dillinger Escape Plan (a band that was incredible hard to shoot because they're constantly moving in the dark!)
Red Fang will probably be doing a lot of songs from their new album, Murder the Mountains, which came out in April. You can stream/preview the album at bandcamp.com.
Tour starts in November:
THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS
redjumpsuitalliance.ning.com
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, aka RJA, just released their third studio album, Am I The Enemy. From the looks and sounds of things, they seem hard rock/metal. Their new album is recorded and produced by singer/songwriter of Goldfinger, John Feldmann. Between you and me, the name Goldfinger brings me back to the year 1995!
Frontsman, Ronnie Winter, had this to say about the new album:
The fans that Winter is referring to are the ones that help sell about two million of their records and half a million 'likes' on Facebook!

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
www.redhotchilipeppers.com
Remember these guys? Who could forget these lovable socks-covering-penis guys?
I'm not a massive fan, but like many of you, I knew who Anthony Kiedis and Flea were (and for a time Dave Navarro was in the band also).
Well the band is back with their new album, I'm With You, which debut at #2 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart (#1 on the Rock & Alternative charts). That's just the American charts, it was #1 in various countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom! Yes, the band provied that the world is "with them" on this one.

Frontsman, Ronnie Winter, had this to say about the new album:
“It’s been three years since our last full-length album, and in the time between, there’s been a lot of rebuilding where we’ve gotten a lot more focused, sorted out all our behind the scenes issues and got to the point of just really wanting to make a new record. We knew that the fans were behind us after their support of The Hell Or High Water EP, but we wanted to take our writing to the next level without having to worry about any of the business stuff and just put all our focus on the music. It was just like riding a bike; right after we got into the studio, the training wheels came off and we were ready to get dangerous and test our limitations."
The fans that Winter is referring to are the ones that help sell about two million of their records and half a million 'likes' on Facebook!
