I'm hoping to get it out on New Year's day, but I'm not very hopeful since I'm quite slow at editing audio.
So, here's another song which I'll be using for the podcast: Morrissey's "Disappointed" live.
This was a bootleg that I bought through Italy's Kiss the Stone production, which at the time, thought they had legal rights to sell live recording (the record company begs to differ). At the time in the early 90s, producing bootleg CDs required a custom pressing - so bootlegs were still relatively uncommon. I did manage to try and collect them all, but they were often expensive (prices were usually $25-$30 per disc, which was insanely expensive back then).
You can tell right away that this Higher Education CD was a bootleg based on the obvious typo of Morrissey's name. In later production, they did manage to correct the spelling.
This is a pretty good bootleg, audio seems to be taken from a radio broadcast, so it's pretty clear.
One of my favorite live Morrissey song is "Disappointed", because of the tease: "This is the last song I will ever sing!" (the audience will in unison scream back, "NOOOOO!"). This particular recording had some fan jumping on stage and grabbing the mic and screaming "MORRISSEY!"
Morrissey is pretty awesome live.
